In our continuing effort to preserve the history of the healing arts, we are making much our collection of medical artifacts available to view online at our website.
Along with artifact photos, detailed descriptions and histories, many of the artifacts showcased on our virtual museum will include 3 dimensional images, allowing the viewer to see a particular artifact from all sides.
The virtual museum includes exhibits organized in medical categories. Each exhibit will include a table of contents allowing the viewer to scroll through the exhibit as well as choose a specific medical artifact to view additional photos and information.
Where 3 dimensional images are available, the viewer will need to view these images using Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox browsers. Unfortunately, the 3 dimensional images can not be viewed using Internet Explorer.
Our Virtual Museum is a work in progress and as we complete additional medical categories, they will be added to our website for viewing.
The collection of medical artifacts at the Edward Hand Medical Heritage Foundation numbers over eleven thousand. If you would like more information on any of our artifacts, to see additional artifacts that are not yet included in our virtual museum, or to schedule a tour of our new exhibit space, you can contact our curator at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
